The Rentals Sales Team provides best-in-class advertising solutions and business consultation for Multi-Family partners. We are a team of fun, high-energy individuals committed to helping Zillow Group users make smarter decisions about buying, renting, owning, and selling homes. Sound like you? Then keep reading on! About the role
Sales Executives are hyper-focused on generating new business, articulating that Zillow Rentals is the preeminent advertising platform in the category. They will work to drive new business, revenue, and overall growth by way of closing opportunities with net new accounts. As a Sales Executive, you will be tasked with the following objectives:
- Drive the new business sales cycle including identifying potential clients, resolving prospect’s needs, negotiating and closing.
- Be an expert in all Zillow Rentals Network products and services
- Perform a high volume of regionally based calls and face to face meetings to secure new accounts and increase participation from multifamily rental management companies.
- Localize your knowledge of trends, market conditions, and advertising tendencies based on market assigned upon hire
- Utilize Salesforce.com to prospect, log activity, manage your calendar and opportunities.
- Participate in multifamily rentals conferences, association meetings tradeshows and property management company meetings to increase partnerships, revenue and exposure to the Zillow Rental Network.
- Opening new relationships within the multi-family industry, utilize relationships, referrals, associations, networking etc.
- Travel (up to 50%) as needed to assigned region to meet with potential clients.
- Clearly communicate performance expectations to clients internally and externally.
- Meet and exceed assigned sales quota
- An ability to excel in high level conversations and presentations with decision makers with the focus on building positive relationships in order to drive business results
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Zillow Group, representing the best interests of the company, its advertisers, and industry partners
- Represent the voice of the customer to influence product, marketing and sales process and improvement

- Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $60,000.00 – $95,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience in outside sales, business to business sales and/or selling into accounts with complex/multiple decision makers.
- Proven track record meeting and exceeding sales goals and other key performance metrics
- Possess high energy and a strong desire to achieve top results with a charismatic, positive “can-do” attitude via the phone and in person.
- High degree of ownership and dedication to work quickly and accurately in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to prioritize and utilize time management
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- A passion for high level conversations with decision makers and influencers
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
- Proficient use of excel and Salesforce and other data analytic tools, including Google Analytics
- Salesforce.com or other CRM experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50%
